It's difficult living in people's shadows.  Sometimes it's tough being part of a family with such incredible and talented people because you know you'll never be as good as they are in certain regards.  Try as I might, I'll never have a Christmas card as extraordinary as my mom's.  She spends several months and even more hours working on her cards, and her hard work is proven in the thoughtful, unique, and beautiful designs of her cards every year.

I unfortunately don't have the time, patience, or skills to make cards like hers, so I have to rely on my face to even compete with her cards.  It was never a close race until this year when I got what I believe to be the cutest puppy in the world.  I can't take much credit in the cuteness factor of our family card this year, it's all about Tou, but I like to think it's a pretty darn good card.

On my last day of work for the Athletic Department, Sandy threw me one of the best parties of my life.  It was Christmas in July themed and SO MUCH FUN.  Toulouse made a guest appearance in her sweater and elf hat and was a big hit.  The party, however, proved to be too much for her at her young age and she passed out.  We were able to capture this picture without her even knowing and so I've been thinking about this Christmas card for months.  I found the perfect design through Minted and felt so happy sending the cards out to my family and friends.  I've received high praise on the card.  I'm glad Tou and I could do our part in spreading Christmas cheer.  Happy Holidays!
